Large Ornate Gold Bubble Frame - 10x27 Blue Morpho Butterfly - Vintage Oval 27" Entomology Art with Pressed Flowers - Gothic Gallery Wall

Midnight Morpho - XL 10"x27" Ornate Gold Bubble Glass Curio

A true statement piece from my studio. I paired an extra tall vintage ornate gold bubble glass frame - 10" wide x 27" tall at the widest points of the crest - with a breathtaking Blue Morpho butterfly and a wild garden of pressed florals on black velvet.

Centered is a large Blue Morpho Butterfly (Morpho peleides) with that flash of iridescent blue you can see from across the room. Surrounding her are real pressed flowers: white columbine at the top, purple pansies, blue hydrangea, delphinium, larkspur, statice, lavender, bunny tails, and feathery ferns. The convex bubble glass makes everything float.

The top columbine flower has intentionally droopy petals for a soft, ethereal affect - that's how it was pressed to keep that fae-like movement.
